Kernel Source Archive: Project Overview

The Kernel Source Archive aims to create a comprehensive archive of open source operating system kernels and related projects (such as boot-loaders). Rather than be intended as a general-purpose distribution point, the archive is pitched at interested parties, historical researchers and students who wish to obtain sources which are no longer easily available, and track development and relationships over time.

There are two types of project in the archive:

Operating system kernels

The archive of open source operating system kernels.

Other software

Related software of historical or educational interest, such as boot-loaders, firmware, and shells.
